Nothing wrong with offtopic portions of on-topic messages.  Entirely off-
topic threads are entirely up to individual list etiquette; I don't have
any problem with them in general (though I prefer "OT" in the subject),
except on reference lists (like Bugtraq and *-announce.)

Not all commands support redirection.  The OutputJob class I'm currently
working on should make it easy to have full, consistent, global
redirection support.  (That's not really the main aim--that's just to
make buffered output easier--but it's a nice freebie.)

Yep.  Client sends it to indicate support; server responds to OK it, I
believe.
