I just found out that last time letter was send under wrong Subject, so i'm sending it again.
>Well keyword was 'apretiate' but 'really APRETIATE' looks gay so i used >'REALLY apretiate'. >Anyway i'll think about writing patch, but it will take alot of time for me >to get it done. >There is one more feature i would love to see in lftp. >When i download files with --parallel=10 my files get fragmented heavily, >and copying them later from one hdd to another goes at 2Mb/s and lower >instead of 20Mb/s. >I had same problem in windows (well in windows it was falling to 400Kb/s) >and i solved it with option in Reget 'reserve space on disk for entire file' >basicly, what it does is creation of file of expected size BEFORE >downloading it. Enabling this option make it impossible to resume file with >other programs, but that shoudn't be a big deal for ones who need this >feature - after all it's an OPTION. >Do you think there is a chanse to see that in lftp or is it 'write it >yourself' too? > > I am not really involved into lftp, only doing the french translation. I really suggest you to go on lftp's mailing list, and post here. Go on http://lftp.yar.ru/list.html for some infos about that. You will hit more coders that way. ---------- > > > lftp doesn't cut/process http header and thus does not save file with > > > proper filename. > > > I'd REALLY apretiate you to fix that. > > > > Well, if that's so urgent, I'd suggest you patch lftp yourself to fix > > that and submit it. > > Hmm i was expecting Alexander to answer. > How many peolpe there are in lftp team ? After reading my logs, it seems Alexander bounced your email to lftp's mailing list. I'd say that he was annoyed (like me) by the insistance of your primary message. So, you might get answer from every people subscribed to this list. I, personnaly, am the (lazy) french translator of lftp. Alexander is the main coder. I'd be lying if I'd say "only", because I know lots of people posted patches to that software, especially Gleen Mayard.
