Hi, I have just recently upgraded to 2.5.1 (FreeBSD) from 2.4.4 I think (at least 2.4.x).
Now I notice that whenever I limit bandwidth for my downloads with net:limit-total-rate lftp start consuming close to 98% of my 450 mhz CPU. I have ADSL 1024/512 kbit and limit lftp to 75000 bps. I have not tested if this is also true if the current rate is below the limit - but I would assume that it is not a problem then, since it shouldn't throttle with current rate < max rate. Once I set the limit to 0 (unlimited) it's all good again. I don't really know what to do more for helping you pinpoint the problem, so I hope this is enough.
