I wonder how other open mailing lists fight with spam. SpamAssassin does
not filter all of the spam, but it does reduce its amount.

The lftp mailing lists are managed by majordomo. It is possible to limit
senders by From: field to those who are subscribed, then mails from
unsubscribed people will bounce to me. Unfortunetely it is not possible
to approve a message for the mailing list, so I will have to forward from
myself.
