checking up dante & lftp

a while ago i posted about problems with the new lftp and compiling it --with-dante
and i was wondering if there was anymore information to post besides what i got from './configure' or any progress/workaround for getting lftp to work with dante or if anyone else has gotten lftp to work with socksv4/5 proxies
any help thoughts or ideas would be greatly appreciated :)
