Alexander,

I've been using your lftp SW (V 3.0.6) RH 9 (running 2.4.26 ) environment
w/DSL line. I have been downloading a number of iso images
from Fedora and FreeBSD FTP sites.

I can say that out of ten downloads (iso images) only two md5sum
cleared the transfer correctly.

I enabled the debug mode (just once) no channel errors registered
NOTE: all transfers were stopped (and restarted at least once) at the command line
(This being a shared resource)

I am using a older 3COM (10/100) 3C905 PCI card (No checksum feature).

Do you have any recommendations?

From best I can tell (without being literate with source code) your restart process
checkpoints to the established file (as it is at the client) No in progress cross checking is performed
against this data file (ie no running checksum tally of the given file)
against the same block count (and checksum tally) from the server side (strictly speaking at the application level)

I believe my DSL link is being mismanaged at the provider level (outside of my control)
I was hoping to use your SW to effect clean end to end transfers.
If you have any suggestions (besides replacing the vendor provided line (that one I know))
Please let me know.

Markham
