I am an old user of lftp. I like it very much!
I have some ideas for lftp.
1. Add parallel download support for mget command.
2. For pget command. after one block downloaded, then split the
remained biggest block into 2 and add a new connection for it.
So, we can always keep the connection number to keep the
speed high, until the block enough small (<50kB?).
3. Make lftp resume-able. Add a command - suspend, stop jobs and
record all jobs status into config file, at nexttime lftp start,
we can use resume command continue the jobs that recorded last time.
(it need check some condition such as the site resume-able, file
changed since last time etc.)
How do u think ?
