lftp sends OPIE pass phrase instead of password, as requested by the
server. You can try to disable it in lftp (set ftp:skey-allow no), but
I think the server won't take plain password.

The situation is the following:
If I compile any version of lftp under cygwin 1.5.9 with gcc 3.3.1 everything is alright, but a compilation with same parameters under cygwin 1.5.18 with gcc 3.4.4 produces executable which can't login to a ftp requiring an encrypted password as described above.
Could you advise me what the problem might that be linked to?
