well actually i had 3.4.2 running perfectly, don't worry. it must have
been some changes in the latest versions up to 3.4.7 man ....

i have been using latest lftp versions on cygwin without further
problems. used to apply the ftpclass.cc patch as fix for the
"getpeername(control_sock): Transport endpoint is not connected" issue.
now i just have compiled and installed 3.4.7 without the patch (it won't
apply anyways .. seems alexander included at least parts of the patch in
the source now)and again i am back to the above mentioned issue ...

I am not even sure he's using Windows at all :-) Real UNIX person..
There was an old 2.4.x version working quite well under cygwin. maybe
it has less features though.
