Sorry for reordering the questions I am trying (a) mirror all files in a ftp location to a local drive (b) exposing that folder as a samba share the (b) portion is working fine It was the (a) portion that I was having trouble the yum -y update did not update lftp which was version 3.5.x I did a yum -y update lftp and that updated it to version 3.7.x and that _seems_ to have solved the problem The mirror process is running as cron job every two hours > > 1. Have you tried it with 1 download (take out the --parallel)? updating > 2. What does the log say? I am yet to dig into the log part of it as I had to get the thing up and running fast and the update is still going on the logfile is 0 bytes. I guess the log file gets written only after the mirror is completed. Thanks for the help Regards Rajagopal
