Hello Alexander,

This is in reference to the lftp utility on
Linux. I am running version 2.6.3 and I am getting the following errors :-

---- Resolving host address...
---- 1 address found
Lftp | Version 2.6.3 | Copyright (c) 1996-2002 Alexander V. Lukyanov

copy: get hit eof
**** Socket error (Connection refused) - reconnecting
---- Closing control socket

You have suggested installing version 3.6.3.90. Is that really the case or is
there a workaround solution? The reason as to why I am asking that is because
the folks who administer our Linux servers don't accept any changes to system
software. In otherwords it is impossible to get any utility to be put on the
server.

I would really really appreciate it if you could clarify this for me before I
end up spending countless hours in absolute futility trying to resolve this.

Thanks
Vish
