Hi,
we’re using LFTP to mirror RPM packages from a https site. However, lftp always
segfaults sometime during the transaction (it’s quite random).
Interestingly enough, when lftp is run from mrepo, it doesn’t crash (maybe an
additional timeout between commands?).
The affected system (reproduced on several machines):
RHEL 5
lftp 4.3.3 (older versions seem to be affected as well)
openssl-0.9.8e-20.el5 (lftp doesn’t compile against gnutls-1.4.1)
[Thread debugging using libthread_db enabled]
Detaching after fork from child process 26780.
`...s-2010.3.1-0.2.1.noarch.rpm' at 0 (0%) [Receiving data]
Program received signal SIGSEGV, Segmentation fault.
lftp_ssl_openssl::read (this=0x0, buf=0xa72f60 "", size=65536)
at lftp_ssl.cc:906
906 if(error)
If you need any additional information, please don’t hesitate to ask.
This problem has been reported for Ubuntu as well:
https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/lftp/+bug/388632
Thanks for any hints.
