As for the return 0, I wonder if we should add some log msg there to
indicate errors to user? Silently failing and just eating data is kind
of lame.
It was that way before as well, now it is just using the data in a more
selective way if I read it correctly.
We should schedule a typo-hunt patch sooner or later btw.
