This improves the situation quite a bit, but isn't perfect. Noticeable on 7, but very visible on XP, frame-based decoding on h264, can deadlock quite a bit, notably with many cores. Before the patch, it was failing all the time, now it happens sporadically, when seeking or when the application has many other threads. Luca suggested to use mingw64 winpthread +libav-pthread, and this works quite fine (although I had to patch winpthread quite heavily) Best regards, Ref: http://mailman.videolan.org/pipermail/vlc-devel/2011-December/084007.html -- Jean-Baptiste Kempf http://www.jbkempf.com/ - +33 672 704 734 Sent from my Electronic Device _______________________________________________ libav-devel mailing list [email protected] https://lists.libav.org/mailman/listinfo/libav-devel
