I had Anton have a look at this, and he pointed out one detail, but in
general was ok with it:
22:27 <elenril> looks ok-ish to me fwiw
22:39 <elenril> hmmm....it's your code after all so if you think it's
ok...
So I'll push this (rebased on top of master, which required a little bit
of touch-ups due to the renaming) in a while.
