Dear libav developers,
My name is Kyle Pullicino and I live in the tiny island of Malta. I'm
currently in my second year of studies at the University of Malta where
I'm reading for a Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science. I'm interested
in taking part in this year's Google Summer of Code and your project has
especially caught my attention (specifically the HEVC/H265 decoder with
Mr. Bultje). I apologise for not sending an e-mail earlier but I was
abroad and I did not have any internet access.
First of all, I've used libav (through ffmpeg and VLC) multiple times
and I am personally impressed by how the library can decode and convert
to/from a countless number of multimedia formats. Secondly, the project
seems the right kind of challenge I would enjoy working on. I was in the
IRC channel for a while and I've also read that I need to complete a
qualification task as a means to "prove" myself. I would be grateful if
you could tell me whether you require any documents/information for my
application and any other steps I need to apply.
