Looks like Ruggles posted a patch in ASCII, Jason's mailclient
(gmail?) changed the multiple spaces to ISO-8859-1 non-breaking spaces,
and my mailclient (pine) displayed them correctly but marked my reply as
UTF8 without actually reencoding anything.
