Can't test nor evaluate (I don't know avx/fma3) this, but it passed fate-dts so this should be OK. The speedup sounds pretty good to me, even if more could have been expected. There's one final slight improvement that James thought about: on 64bits systems using AVX, there's no need for the top loop, as it is done in one go.
