These are all very good suggestions, I look forward to seeing them
applied to your next contribution to Libav. Ideally you could start
with aevalsrc cherry-pick.

I'd say this thread has run its course (or maybe curse?), let's resume
the subject if and when the filter has improved from the technical
point of view.
