According to Wikipedia, FLAC only has 8 levels of compression. I thought this
was true as I've been converting FLAC for a few years now.
But I recently used iSonics and it offers 12 levels. When I contacted the
developer to ask why, they told me iSonics uses libavcodec and told me to ask
the developers.
So can someone please explain why libavcodec has 12 levels if the FLAC
guidelines say 8?
