It is not, there is no hard filesize limit. To elaborate a bit what is written on http://ffmpeg.org/bugreports.html : There were many bugreports in the past (esp. crashes) were 10MB is far too much, 100k were often enough. I remember a bug about a buggy first frame in a an asf stream, the user uploaded 30MB, one would have been more than enough. Otoh, if you want to report A/V sync issues with a HD stream, 100MB can be appropriate (or even not enough). So you should upload enough to (very easily) reproduce your problem, not ten times as much. Use tools/qt-faststart to produce a mov file that you can cut with dd.
