Otherwise, back to the original topic of my message and frames corruption. I can now reproduced it consistently with VC-1 videos only.... I was checking what xbmc was doing, and saw this comment in their code, in their draw slice code: // ffmpeg vc-1 decoder does not flush, make sure the data buffer is still valid Where they check if the surface is still valid and just ignore it if it is... I'll have to implement something similar as a work-around.
