Hello, In ITU-T G.726 Recommendation, it is defined that the input to G.726 codec should be u-law or A-law PCM audio, which in time is converted to uniform PCM before the encoding.
Does the same apply if I want to use the g726 codec found in libav (that is, using avconv), or can I use a normal .wav file directly as input? On a related note: Where can I find more information about the use of several audio codecs included in libav, such as the default parameters? Thank you very much. Nicanor GarcĂa O.
