/did you make libavutil.{so,a} available to your environment before
calling gcc like that? the ffmpeg example directory contains a makefile
that helps you build the examples alright. /
In my libav-11.4/doc/examples/ is no such makefile
OS: Ubuntu 14.04.1 LTS
Compiler: gcc-4.8 GNU C compiler 4.8.2-19ubuntu1 amd64
