I guess, I'm looking for any patches that can fix this for me? Or some direction from the FFmpeg folks as to what's a possible approach?
(C++ engineer here, so happy to do the work and send a patch, but no experience with this community.) The two commits to deprecate and remove didn't have much info on the decision making it alternatives.
