If you have questions related to the law, you should ask a lawyer. I would not base legal related decissions upon what a publically editable enceclopedia says. In that respect you also shouldnt listen to the FSF because their anti-patent agenda demands that they say it cant be done and us as we are not lawyers. If you want to know my oppinion and that is really just a guess as iam not a lawyer! As long as you comply to the LGPL there is no problem with the LGPL, The act of signing some patent license should IMHO/IANAL not affect one at all as long as one still complies to the LGPL. Of course if one assumes that the patent license containd a clause that violates the LGPL then you can only comply to one license and would consequently violate the other. Still its not our business if you where violatng that hypothetical patent license as long as you comply to the LGPL.
