Hello, I am new to ffmpeg an have some question concerning the right usage of the lib (under windows). I like to save video streams from webcams to a file. The color formats of the images are 8 bit monochrome (raw bayer coded) and they should be saved as an uncompressed videostream. I do have to use the video files for simulations later on, therefore they should not be lossy compressed and I further have to store 8 video streams interactively at the same time, therefore compression (if any) should not be to computational expensive. Therefore my question is how I have to configure the video_codecs for this (which codec is best for my purpose,etc)? I found the output_example.c in the ffmpeg lib which explains how to setup the output stream in general.
And a further question. Is there any preference in container format I should choose (avi, mpeg)? Thanks for your help.
