I've been asked to read the time code track from a quicktime video file (it does have one, I can see the "tmcd" 4CC in the file). The format context streams array has a timecode track stream available, and suggests a codec, but nothing I've managed to do will make it work. I've tried reading through apple's quicktime file format reference doc, but as it says somewhere on the net it's over documented. There's just far too much info there to trawl through (304 pages).
