Hi Alexandr!

rtaudio seems to be a Windoze thing.

RTAudio is a proprietrary codec which can be licensed from
Microsoft<http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Microsoft>
.

And Nicolas seems to experiment with a kind of Linux.

The Fedora geeks told me that OSS on Linux is not really OSS, it is an ALSA
emulation of OSS.

What Nicolas needs is perhaps this: /dev/dsp1
This would be his USB sound card.

ffmpeg records well from OSS on Ubuntu 9.04

Moreover, you can run two ffmpegs, one records sound, another grabs the
screen to a lossless format.
Then you can encode audio and video to avi (audio+video)
with ffmpeg.

why don`t you use something like rtaudio instead of libav for grabbing?

Hi,

I need some help about audio grabbing.

I would like to know what doess ffmpeg uses to grab audio. Does it uses
oss
or alsa ?

What I do is to open /dev/dsp with oss format (av_find_input_format). So,
I
think that I'm using oss.

How to do to use alsa ?
