hi all,

is it possible to set a start timestamp for a stream in the container?

my problem is, that the video starts with a later timestamp than the audio.
e.g.
The audio starts with timestamp 0 and the video start at timestamp 5.
This will be handled differntly in the container.
The AVI Container will start with the Timestamp 5 for the first Video
Packet(that is right),
but the MP4 Container ignore the Timestamp and start the Video with 0(that
is wrong), in that case the audio is not in sync with video

Audio TS: 0 1 3 4 5 6 7 8 9
Video TS: 5 6 7 8 9

or what is the best way to solve this Problem?

An other solution is to drop the leading audio Packets but this result in
loosing data!
Or to add some blank Video Packets, i try this but the Container seems to
ignore Blank packets.

Thanks for any
suggestions.<http://dict.leo.org/ende?lp=ende&p=5tY9AA&search=suggestion>
