hi,

i tried the Workaround two: patch libavg avoiding stderr usage
and i get also a segmentation fault,  but I got it later.

See the output:
$ python Test.py
[07-11-14 21:07:45.059] LOGGER: Logging started
.--------  testImage  --------
.--------  testError  --------
Segmentation fault (core dumped)

- the Test started
- opened a window "AVG Renderer" (see attachment)
- after 2 sec. the SegFault occured

Ok. This looks similar to the broken stderr stuff we had this spring.
Have a look at the description at

and see if you can solve the problem that way. If you can, please tell
us - or update the wiki page yourself :-).
