Hey list,

First of all, thanks for the LibAVG product: it looks like a really nice
way of implementing graphical stuff and a nice and accessible
alternative for Processing, Openframeworks, and the likes.

I got in contact with it when I visited c-base last week during the
Transmediale: I'm the guy who made the software for the pingpong canon
(using "traditional" pygame+opencv)

I tried 0.7 the other day (apt-get install ...), but ran into some
issues, so I wanted to try the latest and greatest version from SVN. But
trying to compile it, I run into some issues:

IDemuxer.h:46:29: error: ffmpeg/avformat.h: No such file or directory

it uses includes like <ffmpeg/avformat.h>, but this header does not
exist on ubuntu: is there a reason why you use this instead of the
separate libav{format,codec}-dev packages? They put their headers in
<avcodec/avcodec.h>, etc.

Also, this ffmpeg / libav* requirement is currently not checked in the
configure script.

I tried replacing the include lines, but that didnt help, as it got
stuck in the linking phase. So, what is the reason for this, and can it
be changed? Or am I just missing some packages? If you need help with
this, I have some autotools experience and I'm willing to help making it
more Ubuntu compatible.

regards,
Arjan Scherpenisse
