I guess audio is not exactly a priority for Solaris users. Waiting for
die-hard Unixers to consider something for device access that is not a
Unix-style device file might be asking too much. ;-)

Again, it's not my job to educate Sun people about PA. The docs are
out there, all relevant distros in the Linux community got the
message. The initiative to find out why they did that must come from
Sun/Solaris, not from me.
