Hi All,

Please forgive me if I report the issue in inappropriate form - 1st time :-[

I don't know how'd I managed to screw my gnome-session up (the last relevant thing I remember was changing default sound schema to smthg with 'Bark' in the name, and default sound device from nvidia hda to logitech USB neadset). Since then I cannot get my X anymore - the subj is reported for many gnome apps (gnome-panel, gnome-power-manager, nm-applet, gtk-window-decorator, nautilus, etc.) I am using Fedora 11, x64, gdm, with installed libcanberra-[devel]-0.12-1.fc11.x86_64. Actually, X starts, but gnome-session cannot be initialized, and all I have is a flicking screen.

I cannot understand why ca_detect_fork is undefined, it sits in fork-detect.c and should be visible, I guess.

Could you help me please? Plz let me know what additional info should I post to clarify the issue.

Thank you in advance,
Dmitry

P.S. I've just workarounded the problem by removing libcanberra-gtk2 (rpm --erase --force libcanberra-gtk2). No sound, though... When I installed it back, the problem returned.
