Blake et al.,

I noticed this problem with paranoia while I was developing cued, my own
ripper.  I had hoped to fix paranoia, but I got sidetracked with first
grad school, and then illness.  If you search the list, you should find
my old posts.

I did not diagnose it to the extent that you have.  I did note that
jitter correction was erroneously correcting non-errors, and that you
could see this by ripping from an image file--NRG or bin file--that was
known to be correct!  (Known by accurate rip or whatever....)

So, yes!  This is a very astute observation and if you could fix it, we
would all be grateful :-)

I hope to get back to cued some day, but it will probably wait until
after my Christmas surgery and the ensuing physical therapy, after which
I should be back to the pinnacle of health (running, biking, hiking,
skiing, and all that other stuff I haven't been able to do for two years!)
