Hi Balbir,

Perhaps I was not specific enough in my email-- I was referring
specifically to the "layer 2" API from earlier in this thread.

The patches I've seen floating around for CPUs

and memory
  http://www.mail-archive.com/[email protected]/msg01535.html

don't appear to be in any of the sf.net repos.  Perhaps they were
never accepted into a development branch (if not, is collaborative
development simply being done in independent repositories), or perhaps
I'm looking in the wrong place.
