I am trying to build the mysql driver (libdbi-driver 0.8.3-1) so that: 1. It is not dependent on the mysql client library being installed on my software's end user's computer. 2. The driver is build against the reentrant version of the mysql client library. As it stands, the build process seems to link against both the standard and reentrant client libraries. I'm not clear as to how the driver make use of both.
Any insight would be greatly appreciated, as I have exhausted my ideas.
