/Deflect is a robust Web infrastructure that will withstand typical
distributed denial of service (DDoS) attacks. Many small human rights
and independent media organisations aren't able protect themselves from
such attacks. The Deflect project provides this service without cost and
without over-extending the client's server resources. Deflect is
designed to be a robust, low cost, non-proprietary and easily
reproducible system to provide protection to multiple websites. The
system is designed to be neutral to different web servers, with some
limitations. The caching component is handled by Apache Traffic Server.

eQuality is a Canadian consultancy firm working on non-profit and open
source principles. eQuality provides digital security and information
management expertise to organised civil society and independent media
organisations
