Like I said in my original "+2" message
<https://mailman.stanford.edu/mailman/private/liberationtech/2012-May/004026.html>
(before I knew about Heise's code):
The widget doesn't seem too hard to write (famous last words), but the
awareness campaign seems to be a much heavier task.
The development turned out to be a lot easier than expected (all it took
was i18n from German to English), and the awareness campaign is - as
expected - the actual work.
To be honest - I have zero marketing skills: I was taught that marketing
was a sin <https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gDW_Hj2K0wo>. I'm less
fanatic now, but that doesn't mean I have any idea how to make things
popular.
Today I gave it *my best shot
<http://thedod.noblogs.org/post/2012/06/05/deliver-us-not-into-surveillance/>*,
but something tells me this is not how such things should be done. So:
* If you have ideas how to promote +2, please let me know.
* Even if you don't have any, at least share this with your friends
(you even have a widget for that ;-) ).
* Please consider installing this at your own site (after all - this
is what the campaign is all about).
Thanks for all who helped so far (mainly the Heise crew).
Stay free,
The Dod
