I have been using it myself, and it's not bad. I'd go as far as to say it is as secure as TAILS (possibly more so in some ways). http://sourceforge.net/p/whonix/wiki/Comparison%20with%20Others/ Although this is all assuming the host computer is completely clean. Whonix does allow for more flexibility than TAILS, I've found in configuring HiddenServices especially. The Physical Isolation feature (using crossover cable) allows for further isolation between the system running Tor and the workstation. http://sourceforge.net/p/whonix/wiki/Comparison%20of%20different%20Whonix%20variants/ As mentioned before, although "alpha" the design is not "alpha". The idea of having two virtual machines, one running Tor and the other being the one where the action happens isn't new. You can read more about it here: http://sourceforge.net/p/whonix/wiki/Download/#first-time-user - -- scarp | A4F7 25DB 2529 CB1A 605B 3CB4 5DA0 4859 0FD4 B313 -----BEGIN PGP SIGNATURE----- iQIcBAEBCgAGBQJRMl7CAAoJEF2gSFkP1LMTEagQAJ6TtQl6Pxn6y7ONQ6w5f+wa 3chJJd6bHR6JguPcLUQS9X47PYewNctzOK0HJtxqbjuHZsCzY4bTzJ3Ve5Xk7Fz4 JbWdgFuUdFBeXmIhEY0xBWKbztr8Z3XHaUIPkkbKF7SOV2ZvhRfgq2xFZfVZMKkv f9RJcIqKV67sjzMTMhxiGTW29t+FJToV7tqr+uAZiACJwxCWQqrgxL6Ym9WnC7rf zCLNvwfiATj5bGi/Rl6XDez8FTyIzC3hTeASHO/i6ECUJ+KmtkeH3ruyZ9FWTER7 0UXUIVRkYnf/pQl70Gyx5P2RJYRBe7LkFBkZxKBARw/cqIVXs9fjb3oEBgtFlHWq 6MBGUP1y+rN7NVOz6XQA5ameFv0Th57DwqNSOBOUlCdrN2nkav2zxzKtk/AAauxe rnm3oWA8XvwWNWZshkOrxaL75m9raMrtSkQSrb0ZzbO1zvpn1xqE7OY/goqbCTbf Rkw/uiaxocbAlsB2KDwKvnXOYS4dBxkIgYf8UbwjiCzPubu4WpmoDOMZ5VvH8jaA jxS67VX+cY/POu/0jcw7MUy3R9DUNeI/chsdHNy3yeWYzuRhw2BTAXJvPASgFbo6 VeTy8eGETHuwDkUC0zx1PNXdfQTvdwpNiiz3/Ix/FessQWq58k/V6znAaV3luniP L77eIz6skd8Oleooq0EE =TaUj -----END PGP SIGNATURE----- -- Too many emails?
