-----BEGIN PGP SIGNED MESSAGE----- Hash: SHA512 Small nitpick, but only PGP (probably a better alternative is gpg) really deals with email encryption. Truecrypt is for files and FDE. I mean, you could attach encrypted text messages to an email, but then you'd need a key derivation and sharing schedule, which would need an out of band communication.
If anyone reads German, http://www.openpgp-schulungen.de/kurzinfo/openpgp-smime/ would be a decent overview of the use scenarios between gpg and s/mime. Google translate gives a good translation as well, from what I glanced between them. As for deployment, Dan Gillmore seems to feel that https://we.riseup.net/debian/openpgp-best-practices gives an decent best practice guide. landon On 04/16/2013 11:50 AM, R.
