Not sure about that... certainly the reporting Declan did a few months ago about the "waiting list" at Cupertino for PIN-bypass forensics seems to indicate that if they can get and keep your device indefinitely, Apple has a way to get around this (and Android can force a reset such that LE can set their own PIN/etc. without being challenged on the previous one). The reporting from Der Spiegel this past weekend didn't seem to clear this up much...
