Hi Libtech, I write to first inform you that, we at Bolo Bhi are thrilled to announce that as part of our project "alliance for access", funded by open society foundation, a nationwide coalition of academics, banks, civil society, entrepreneurs, business groups, Internet service providers & telecom companies together for open access, we've launched partnership with Business Plus that'll bring discussions on Internet policy, censorship, privacy & larger role ICTs into the mainstream media. Hosted by Ayesha Tammy Haq the episodes will air every Friday at 8 PM on business plus, with a viewership of over 22 million.
The twelve episodes will discuss various instances of Internet censorship, surveillance & ad hoc blocking of communications as well as bring on the diverse voices to shed light on the need & importance of open access and security for various segments of the society. *However to make this discussion truly global, we need your help. I am looking out for people to interview during the IGF in Bali, as I send out personal invites, I'd also like to keep an open call to anyone of you who'd like to share their expertise and personal experiences with internet censorship and or privacy violations for the Bolo Bhi Show. Please contact me off-list. * The Bolo Bhi show will be a mainstream discussion on Internet & society and we hope to keep bringing internet rights advocacy on to the mainstream & into the corridors of power. You can watch our episodes on business plus, or catch them on our Facebook.com/BoloBhi & Youtube.com/bolobhiorg Thank you for your support & the support from open society for making this happen!
