From: Max Richman <[email protected]> Hi Friends,
Not sure what other CrisisMapping efforts are underway in the Philippines, but wanted to share some real-time surge estimate feeds I've discovered. This morning I dug into some of the web resources for the http://noah.dost.gov.ph Philippines hazard map for friends at the American Red Cross international section. While NOAH.ph doesn't have an API to get realtime data feeds, I found that you can grab certain web resources, like lat-longs for their weather stations with this url: http://noah.dost.gov.ph/latest/download/station_all/?_=1384017608305 and that you can also then loop through those station names to get 24-hour forecasts on tide surge that update every six hours: http://noah.dost.gov.ph/td/campomanesbay_td/ Thought that might be of interest.. Best, Max
