Hi all and apologies for cross posting! Aspiration and the engine room are excited to be hosting the first-ever Responsible Data Forum. The event will take place 6 March, 2014 at Preservation Park in Oakland, California, in collaboration with RightsCon in San Francisco (March 3-5, http://rightscon.org).
The Responsible Data Forum is a series of events and activities conducted in the first half of 2014. This kick-off event in Oakland will be an opportunity to begin mapping issues, resources, actors and needs for responsible data-driven advocacy. Participants will have a unique opportunity to enhance their understanding of the ethical, security and challenges posed by data, to contribute to building concrete tools and resources to address them, and to help chart the course for the Responsible Data Forum moving ahead. Details on agenda, registration and some of the issues likely to be addressed are all available at https://www.theengineroom.org/responsible-data-forum-oakland/. -- CHRISTOPHER WILSON Knowledge Lead the engine room http://www.theengineroom.org [tel] nor +4790629020 us +13474970134 ke +254 716 798 530 [skype] cosgrovedent [jitsi] [email protected] [tw] @cosgrovedent, @engnroom [calendar] http://www.doodle.com/cwilson <http://www.doodle.com/cwilson> -- Liberationtech is public & archives are searchable on Google.
