From: Linlin Huang <[email protected]> Do you use social media? Would you be interested in participating in a study about social media use during disaster events?
Researchers at the University of Washington are conducting a study of the use of social media in crisis events. Our goal is to better understand what role social media play in the spread of information after a disaster event—and to eventually design systems that help make social media information more usable to people during these events. We would greatly appreciate your participation, as getting input from social media users will be vital for addressing these research questions. Please follow the link to complete our survey if you are interested in participating in this research: Click here to take our survey!<https://docs.google.com/forms/d/1OQVWFiotUt31sfPrSZ-vUVprsp6ZzRi4YBrrKMEU0_A/viewform> After the survey, we will select participants to take part in a 30-60 minute Skype voice interview or phone interview conducted by our researchers. As an incentive, participants who are selected to take part in the interview portion of the research will be entered in a raffle to win one of two $50 Amazon gift cards. Thank you for your time, - emCOMP research group
