You joined a list where to a certain degree there is a consensus that, given Patriot Act and similar legislation in other parts of the world, proprietary software is undistinguishable from snake oil or trojan horses. Why do you even come here? You should be talking to the sort of journalists who still haven't understood the issues and would welcome your efforts. How can you expect noticing some beginner's mistakes to be considered a major "disclosure" and deserving special treatment according to hacker ethos standards if most of us agree that it is completely irresponsible to be using your technology in the first place? I also wonder if this list should accept lobbyism and whitewashing of proprietary efforts, be it intentional or just honestly naive, or rather remove folks who promote such thinking. It's not a question of taste and certainly not a question of liberty since the freedom to make proprietary security software is actually an infringement of the freedoms of the confused users who naively go out and pay for it. At least the name of the app is honest. Sorry, Yosem, for jumping on this thread and feeding it, but as I elaborate in [1] "don't feed the troll" is actually a dysfunctional strategy. If you want trolls, lobbyists, science sceptics, loud minorities etc not to achieve any gain from their activity you need to take other steps than to ask people to stop replying to them. Sorry, Greg, I don't know if you're strategic or honest, so don't take this personally. Systemic problems need to be addressed systemically and this thread is just a manifestation of a systemic problem.
