Dear liberationtech, My name is Elias Groll, and I write for Foreign Policy magazine. In recent days I've been reporting on warnings issued by DNI Clapper and NSA Director Rogers on the threat posed by data manipulation and integrity attacks. These statements have been vague in nature and lacking specifics. See Clapper's testimony here <https://cryptome.org/2015/09/dni-15-0910.pdf>, for example. I'm curious what members of this list make of that warning. Are there particular breaches or malware that comes to mind? How could such a tool be put to use? Would be very curious to hear this list's thoughts.
