One thing that bothers me that I heard Dixon convey whenhe was on Alan
Colmes radio show and that others have conveyed is this view that aid
to Iraq is appropriate because "we" should "clean up the mess we
made". Well, I didn't make a mess in Iraq. Why am I responsible for
cleaning up the mess? That is like saying that people today are
responsible for slavery and should pay reparations for it. I personaly
am not responsible for the current foreign policy. I didn't vote for W
or any member of the House or Senate in the years 2000-2004. If I
voted for a candidate for the House or Senate they didn't win. In '04
in fact I didn't vote for any candidate for the House or Senate. I am
not a member of Congress and thus did not vote to fund the military
presense in Iraq.
How am I responsible for this?
