As in the past, I plan on attended the state executive committee meeting when it is held in the south. Our dues should pay for a hall where we can conduct party business, and we should return to the policy of not charging those who are willing to participate at our conventions. My local community college will be the first place that I will contact to see their fee for such a meeting place. Of course, I am a tax abolitionist and want this fundamental improvement in our society. Unfortunately, the tax collectors in our party seem to be the majority now and are using their power to raise the price of voting in our party. While I admire those who are financially successful, for that reason, they are less likely to work for real change. Being able to walk in and vote at my first convention, about a decade ago, at the cost of my dues and signing our pledge made me feel very welcome. Although I understand the win-at-any-cost mentality of the opposition, people with the right principles will always win in the end. One day we will stop the tax collectors in the world, but first we have to stop them in our party. The cruise is a great trick to prevent any new Libertarian from just looking in to see how our party is run. That would be funny if it wasn't so sad. Our soldiers are dying--they need a healthy Libertarian Party,
